Going Corporate!

The information and files available for downloading on this page are intended to assist CSSC Area Associations produce printed material which looks professional, eye catching and complies with the CSSC Corporate image.
All material on this page is copyright by CSSC, CSSC Southern Region, CSSC South East Region and CSSC London, written permission must be obtained before it is used by other than CSSC members.

CSSC Adopted fonts
The font “Arial” is adopted as the safe font for all written communications whether printed and posted or sent electronically either by e-mail or to be downloaded from a website. While it is an unambitious font it is normally available on all PC or MAC computers operating Windows, OSX or indeed Linux.

Where the text is “locked” in either a prepared graphic such as a logo or a document converted to the widely accepted Adobe PDF format then CSSC has adopted "Eurostile" as the corporate font. The use of this font in pre printed material such as posters and publicity enables material to be given a unique CSSC style.

CSSC Corporate Colours
There are five corporate colours mainly used in Logos, Headings & Titles and as backgrounds for headings & titles. The RGB palette should normally be used as the greater proportion of publicity material is printed locally on Inkjet or office laser printers. CMYK and Pantone palettes are available for material that is to be printed commercially but conversion errors will occur when printed on inkjet or laser printers.
The Hex colours are for web use only.

When arranging elements of a design it is important to remember that a significant number of recipients will print the output on a monochrome (black and white) laser printer. In monochrome the CSSC-RGB palette will approximate as below.

The new CSSC logo
Logo’s are essential to reinforce corporate identity. Without the inclusion of a correct logo the recipient can rightfully doubt the authenticity of document or product received. Similarly the inclusion of the wrong or a corrupted logo is both unprofessional and confusing.
In 2004 CSSC introduced a new logo (or more correctly a strap) for use on CSSC material.
This is the logo to be used prominently on Posters, Publicity material including such items as shirts and prizes. Here it should be noted that the font used within the logo is EurostileExtended-Roman.
When first introduced the use of Pantone 372 as the predominant colour was questioned when printed against a white background. It is accepted however that this colour combination works well against the other corporate colours.
